Food Prep the Key to Clean Eating Success

For years now every Sunday my husband and I prepare all of our meals and snacks for the work week.  Not only does this make life so much easier, just grab and go to work, but it saves A LOT of MONEY.  We spend a fraction of what we would if we both ate out during the week.  It also allows us to eat much healthier and be in control of what type of foods we are putting in our bodies.  We prefer to eat fresh foods rather than processed foods and weekly meal prepping makes that easier to maintain.

I generally prepare my 5 breakfasts and lunches and my husband’s 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches, I also make a few snacks since my meal plan calls for them.

I also find it helpful to prepare a few extra servings of protein (usually chicken breasts or ground meat) to have available during the week for a quick dinner on those busy days along with a large container of veggies for snacking.  This helps prevent the bad food choices that can happen when you don’t have time to cook something healthy.
