Rituals, Routines and Daily Habits

As we go through life we all have and create rituals, routines and our daily habits. These are important to our daily lives and mental health and stability.

One ritual I have is my morning coffee time, this is very important to how I begin each day. I have done this for more years than I can count. When the kids were in school I made sure that I got up early enough to have at least 30 minutes of wake up time with my first cup of coffee before our morning routine began. Now that the kids have left the nest I still make sure that I have my coffee and wake up time. I NEED my coffee wake up time! My husband knows how important and necessary this is as well as my pups even know to respect this all important coffee time.

Weekends are no exception, my husband and I cherish our coffee time together on the weekends and generally watch a travel or cooking show while we enjoy or coffee.

Vacations are also no exception. If room service is reasonable we have a pot of coffee delivered to the room to start our day and in enjoy our routine. If that is not an option my sweet husband goes and fetches coffee and brings it to room so we can have coffee together before we start our day.
