Since the first of January was still technically a holiday I chose the 2nd as my day to start a new.
I am starting a much needed clean eating plan to get back on track, I really derailed this year. Between needing to rest while recovering from my surgery in early December and the usual holiday foods and over indulgence, I am a bit off the tracks.
Today, I have started my better eating plan, which involves a fast on the first day to kick it off, the fast should be from dinner the night before until dinner the next day, however my husband said he was going to fast for 30 hours (until breakfast tomorrow!) and being the competitive person I am, I could not let him beat me on day one. So, I too am not eating until tomorrow morning. Overall it is not too difficult as long as you keep yourself busy and distracted, hence the evening blog post.
The other part of my reset is to go dry for the month. We did this last January and liked the results, so here we go again. Luckily I am too consumed with too many thoughts of food to miss the evening glass or glasses of wine.
Now I will count the hours until bedtime and a new day starting with some coffee and my healthy breakfast.
